We are a non-profit organization founded in 1947 and dedicated to the promotion of all facets of skiing, winter sports and other year-round activities for the education and enjoyment of its members.

In 1947, a small band of eleven visionaries saw the potential to launch a ski club in the Lehigh Valley. Hence the birth of the Ptarmigan Ski Club. Named after a bird in the grouse family, the ski club grew over the years from its eleven original members to its record of 800 in the early seventies to its present day of approximately 300 members.
